블루 투어리즘으로 불리는 해양관광은 최근 국내 관광개발의 화두로 등장하고 있다. 3면이 바다로 둘러싸인 한반도의 경우, 그간 육상관광에 치중하여 개발이 이루어지고, 관광객들조차 바다와 해상의 무수히 많은 무인도를 하나의 여가공간으로 인식하고 적극적인 여가활동을 행하지 않았던 것이 사실이다. 일부 하계 바캉스 기간에 해수욕으로 대변되던 해양관광이최근 들어 다양한 시도를 거듭하고 있으며, 해양관광 수요 예측과 개발 가능성을 평가받아관광기반 시설 정비가 서서히 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 적절한 대책 없이 이루어지는 무인도관광개발은 생태계 교란 및 파괴를 불러오고 있는 것도 현실이다. 일부 개발업자와 사유 재산 행사권을 지닌 소유주의 무분별한 개발로 중장비가 섬 전체의 특성을 바꾸는 경우도 쉽게접할 수 있다. 특히 다도해로 불리는 전남 해안의 무수히 많은 무인도서는 향후 개발 잠재력과 보존 논리의 상반된 개념 속에서 일대 혼란이 예상되는 지역이기도 하다. 이에 정부에서는 무인도서의 실태를 정확히 파악하여 이용과 보존을 위한 세밀한 분류 작업을 실시하고 있다. 그러나 실제 대부분의 무인도서는 사유지로서 이를 보존과 개발이라는의미로 제한하는 작업이 실효를 거둘 수 있을지는 의문스럽기도 하다. 이에 본 연구에서는국토의 일부로서 무인도서를 이용하게 되는 해양 관광객들의 무인도서에 대한 인식과 관광행태를 파악함으로써 향후 관광개발과 보존으로 인해 예상되는 다양한 혼란 상황을 방지하는기초자료로 활용하도록 하는데 목적을 두고 있다.
The purpose of this study is to utilize as a basic material to prevent various confusing situations occurred by tourist development. In this study, accurate analysis on the recognition and Tourist Behavior of Marine Tourist is presented. A great change of the overall scenery,geography, and the ecosystem is expected upon the logic of the development thus, overhead operation is very important. It is expected that a pre-survey on the recognition and tourist behavior will provide considerate implications for shaping development and preservation of countless uninhabited island in JeonNam. This study is done in an attempt to utilize uninhabited islands in the future Marine Tourist era through analysing recognition and tourist behavior in and around uninhabited islands of JeonNam where most uninhabited islands are concentrated.
