A Study on the Aspect of Lexical Changes in Chil-gok and Yeong-cheon Dialects

이 연구의 목적은 칠곡과 영천 지역어의 어휘 변화 양상을 밝히는 것이다. 시간적으로 한 세대 정도 차이가 있는 두 조사 결과를 통계적으로 분석하여 두지역의 언어변화가 어휘별로 어떻게 진행되고 있는지, 또 그러한 어휘 변화에영향을 미치는 음운 현상은 무엇인지 살펴볼 것이다. 본 연구의 구체적 목적은아래와 같다. 첫째, 이 연구는 한국정신문화연구원(1989)의 조사 결과물과 필자가 수행한칠곡 조사(2013), 영천 조사(2014)의 조사 결과물을 비교하여 선행 연구들에 의해 축적된 방언 자료를 활용하는 새로운 방언 연구 방법론을 모색한다. 둘째, 언어변화에 영향을 미치는 여러 가지 요인 중에서 음운 현상의 변화가동일한 소방언권에 속하면서 사회적 요인에서는 차이가 나는 두 지역어에 어떤영향을 미치는지 알아본다. 조사된 어휘별로 관련된 음운 현상을 이진법(binary, 관련이 있음과 없음)으로 표시하고, 이를 이용하여 음운 현상별 영향 관계를 예측하기 위해서 계층적 병합 군집 분석(hierarchical agglomerative cluster analysis) 을 진행한다.

The aim of this research is to identify the aspect of lexical changes in Chil-gok and Yeong-cheon dialects by comparing the result of dialect survey in 1980～1981 with the one in 2013～2014 and analyzing that results statistically. The detailed purposes of this study are as follows: First, this research determines the significances of researches on dialects as study of linguistics on ‘real time’ by observing the words at different times in the same areas. Second, this research explores how phonological phenomena among various factors of language changes affect two different dialects. Marking the phonological phenomena related with the word items in binary system, a hierarchical agglomerative cluster analysis is applied in order to predict the relation of the phonological phenomena.
