본 연구는 부산 방언의 틀이라는 내부적 시선으로 부산 방언의 특이한 현상을 설명할 수 있으며, 표준어에서 제공받지 못한 새로운 해석의 틀이 있음을 보이고자 하는 것이 목적이었다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 방언을 인식하는 방법이 방언 내적인 정보가 부족한 상태에서 출발하며, 기존에 가진 경로 의존성의 결과로 해석하였다. 이러한 이유로 구어적 특성을 가진 방언적 요소를 문어적 특성으로 재단하고 분석하는 오류를 범하게 되었으며 특정 지역 방언을 특이하게 만들어 보편적 언어 현상과 이질적인 것으로 해석하게 되었다고 보았다. 부산 방언은 나름대로의 보편적 틀을 가진 것으로 확인되었다. 부산 방언의 가장 중요한 틀은 구어적 편리성이다. 이 구어적 편리성은 인간의 인지 활동과 깊은 관련을 가지고 있는데, 문법의 규칙을 단순하게 만들어 기억에 편리하게 하고 발화에 유리하도록 체계화되어 있었다. 이러한 구어적 편리성은 유사 방언권에도 나타나지만 부산 방언에서는 그 빈도와 정도성이 높다는 것에 주목할 필요가 있다. 이러한 인지적 편리성과 단순성은 문화 현상과도 밀접하게 연결되어 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 특히, 부산 방언에서 특이하게 보이는 군말 현상, 오류 발음 등은 인지적 보편성과 형태적 동형성에 따른 발화의 용이성 등의 보편적 현상으로 해석할 수 있음을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to explain unusual phenomena of the Busan dialect with an internal perspective and to prove that there is a new paradigm of interpretation toward the Busan dialect. The way to understand the existing dialects starts with lack of internal information of dialects and follows the Path Dependency. As a result, the error was made by dissecting and analyzing the elements of dialects containing verbal features by the measurement of written features. It is evident that the Busan dialect has its own framework. The first thing is the verbal convenience. By making grammatical rules simple, the Busan dialect has a close relation with human’s cognitive activities, and is systemized to facilitate memory and utterance. These cognitive convenience and simplicity are also closely associated with the cultural phenomena. In particular, redundancy and pronunciation errors in the Busan dialect are in fact, the universal phenomena like the easiness of utterance by cognitive universality and morphological homology.
