본 논문은 해외지식이전에 있어 지식이전당사자간의 관계특성이 지식이전성과에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 검증하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 지식이전과 관련된 기존의 연구는 조직특성 및 조직간 관계특성에 주로 초점을 맞추었던 반면, 지식이전의 직접적 당사자인 개인간 관계의 효과에 대하여는 상대적으로 관심이 낮았다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 연구를 바탕으로 지식이전에 참여하는 개인간 관계특성 중 신뢰와 커뮤니케이션을 중심으로 세 가지 가설을 제시하고 있으며, 이를 실증적으로 검토하고 있다. 실증분석결과는 당사자 개인간 신뢰의 중요성을 밝히고 있으며 커뮤니케이션 유형과 지식특성간에도 일부 상호작용효과가 있음을 보이고 있다. 이러한 결과는 지식이전을 추진하는 조직의 커뮤니케이션 전략, 지식관리,


<Abstract> Effects of Interpersonal Relationship Characteristics between Knowledge Transfer Partners on the Knowledge Transfer Performance: The Importance of Trust and the Communication Modes Kim, Chang Wan․Kim, Jung-Po․Lee, Yule-Bin This paper aims to investigate the effects of the relationship characteristics between the overseas knowledge transfer partners on the knowledge transfer performance, The extant researches on this issue primarily focus on the relationship characteristics in the organizational context and the researches that dealt with this issue in the interpersonal relationship context are hardly found. In this paper, based on the relevant literatures, three hypotheses are established and empirically tested that are about the effect of interpersonal relationship characteristics on the knowledge transfer performance, such as trust, communication modes (formal and informal), and the interaction effects of communication modes and the characteristics of knowledge in transfer. The empirical results shows the importance of interpersonal trust between partners and the interaction effects of communication modes and the characteristics. Based on the empirical results several implications about the communication strategies, knowledge management, and the knowledge transfer modes or strategies are also discussed.
