최근 문화예술교육의 필요성에 대한 인식이 고조되면서, 공교육 내 다양한 문화예술교육 프로그램이 활성화되고 있다. 이에 따라 교육부는 문화예술 소외지역 학교의 학생들을 대상으로 예술교육의 균등한 기회를 제공하기 위한 학생오케스트라 사업을 추진하고 있다. 하지만 현재 학계에서는 예술교육의 현황을 보고하는 단편적인 연구가 주를 이루고 있고, 보다 심층적으로 접근한 문화예술교육의 우수사례에 관한 질적 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 학생오케스트라 사업의 우수 운영학교 사례로 선정된 “부산 녹명윈드오케스트라”의 교육 운영과정에 나타난 배경과 특징들을 도출함으로써, 향후 학교예술교육이 현장에서 나아가야 할 방향에 관한 시사점을 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구는 질적 연구로서 심층면담과 포커스 그룹 인터뷰(Focus group interview)를 활용하였다. 그 결과 “부산 녹명윈드오케스트라”의 교육 운영과정에서 나타난 주요특성은 다섯 가지(1. 작은 열정을 가진 예술교육자의 큰 힘 / 2. 문화소외지역 예술향유를 위한 협업 관계 / 3. 음악의 생활화 / 4. 단체생활을 통한 협동심 형성 / 5. 공연을 통해 꽃피우는 교육과정)로 분석되었다. 끝으로 본 연구의 시사점에 대하여 제시하고, 후속연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.
The Ministry of Education carried forward a student orchestra business which is intended for students living in culture art isolated areas to provide equal opportunities of culture educations. So this research is trying to provide implications about future moving ways for art educations in school by deducting backgrounds and characteristics appeared in education managing procedure of "Busan Nokmyeong Wind Orchestra" which selected as an excellent school management case of the school orchestra business. As a result, there were five main characteristics(1. big power of art educator who has small passion/ 2. cooperative relationship for art enjoyment in culture isolated areas/ 3. making music a way of life/ 4. collaboration through a group life/ 5. accomplishing educational procedure through performances) appeared in education managing procedure of "Busan Nokmyeong Orchestra". At the end, implications of this study were proposed and proposals for follow-up analysis were discussed.
