개별 언어 학습의 영역과 학습자의 양적인 팽창은 다양한 학습 목적들이 분화되는 현상을 가져온다는 점에서 외국어로서의 한국어 교육 분야에서도 특수 목적 학습자군이 날로증가하고 있다. 특수 목적 한국어 교육의 한 분야인 ‘직업 목적 한국어 교육(Korean for occupational purpose)’ 분야에서는 지금까지 일반 사무직 외국인과 고용허가제를 통한 외국인 근로자 대상의 교육 과정 설계와 이를 위한 기초 연구 중심으로 논의가 진행되어 왔다. 그러나 최근 들어 한국 사회가 다문화 사회로 진입하면서 다문화 사회의 주요 구성원인 ‘결혼이민자’들 대상의 직업 목적 한국어 교육에 관한 논의의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 지금까지 일반 목적 한국어 교육 차원에서만 접근했던 결혼이민자들을대상으로 직업 목적 한국어 교육 과정 설계를 위한 기초조사를 실시하였다. 전국 다문화가족지원센터에서 근무하는 결혼이민자 통번역 지원사들의 업무를 분석하고 그에 따른한국어 학습 대상 영역과 요구를 파악하였다. 총 9개의 업무 범주와 53개의 세부 과제를도출하고 필요도 조사를 통해 교육 과정 설계 시 적용할 수 있도록 내용 선정과 배열을 위한 기초 자료로 제시하였다.


The purpose of this study is to identify the needs of women immigrans who work as professionals for Multicultural Family Support Center in the light of Korean for Occupational Purposes. The focus of analysis for this study was job duty and related tasks, a meaningful unit from a curriculum designer’s perspective. The job analysis focused on the target tasks job-experienced women immigrants would need to perform preferably in Korean in the course of their job. The analysis consisted of four steps: selecting subject matter experts,gathering and reconstructing previous research data, subject matter expert panel workshop, and a follow-up necessity investigation. The results of the analysis showed 9 categories and 53 job-related tasks. They included professional document work, participating in meetings, using the telephone, reporting, comprehending individual documents, etc. On the basis of the findings of this study it is recommended that: (1)Syllabus designers and teachers develop curriculum that acknowledges the cultural needs of professionals working in Korea. (2) Syllabus designers and teachers consider students’ written Korean skills,including deficits and constraints to using Korean in the professional surroundings.
