본 연구의 목적은 지역사회에서 활동하고 있는 자원봉사자의 임파워먼트 수준에 영향을 미치는 조직적, 업무적, 개인적 요인들에 대한 영향 정도를 분석하여 자원봉사자의 임파워먼트 수준을 높일 수 있는 관리방안을 모색하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 지역사회 자원봉사센터에서 활동하고 있는 자원봉사자 487명을 대상으로 한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 자원봉사자의 임파워먼트 영향 요인 중 자원봉사자가 소속되어 있는 조직 요인인 변혁적 리더십, 인정 및 보상, 교육 및 개발기회 제공, 의사결정에의 참여 중에서 의사결정에의 참여 요인이, 봉사자 개인 요인인 참여동기와 이타적인 가치관, 지역공동체 의식 요인 중에서 참여 동기와 이타적인 가치관이 자원봉사자의 임파워먼트에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 봉사자가 참여하고 있는 업무 요인이 봉사자의 임파워먼트 수준에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 연구결과에 근거하여 향후 자원봉사자 조직 운영 및 관리방안에 필요한 제언을 제시하였다.


The purpose of this study is to analyze how much the organizational, working, and personal factors are able to influence the level of empowerment on which volunteers have been carrying out their work in community, and thus seek the administrative idea to enhance the level of their empowerment. To achieve this target, the study towards 487 volunteers who have been doing their work in the community volunteer center resulted in the followings. It appears that transformational leadership, recognition and reward, educational and self-development opportunity, decision-making participation in the organizational factors affected to the empowerment of volunteers, and the motive of participation, altruistic value point of view in the personal factors and the same components in the factors of community consciousness influenced the static empowerment of volunteers, and finally the factors of working, which volunteers take part in, effect the empowerment level of volunteers, directly. On the basis of study result above, this essay suggested some necessary ideas on managing and administrating the organization of volunteers, effectively in the future.
