춤사위의 연속된 동작은 몸이 공간이자 공간은 또 하나의 몸이 되면서 동작소(動作素, kineme)에 의미를 부여하는 의미소가 춤예술이라는 생명적 기호를 생성한다. 무대라는 공간에서 시간과 공간에 흐르는 예술의 현상학적 차원은, 춤이 기호라는 명백한전제하에서 한국춤만의 독창적인 공간을 해석하기 위한 방법론으로 유용하였다. 즉 이 문제는 춤과 동작이 생성하는 공간 기호가 의미생산을 해 나아가는 과정에서어떻게 의미를 전달하는가라는 상징적인 기호에 주목할 필요가 있었다. 한편 시공간에서 춤동작이라는 역동적인 흐름이 어떻게 공간학적으로 인지되며, 공간의 배치에서어떻게 또 하나의 예술적 공간을 형성하는지에 대해 바르뜨의 ‘외연’과 ‘함의’의 신화적 속성은 유용한 방법론이 되었다. 한국춤은 외적 공간상에서 의도된 형식의 차이를 두고, 삼태극(三太極)의 공간, 오행(五行)의 공간, 좌(左)지향의 공간, 원형(圓形)의 공간, 여백(餘白)의 공간이라는 문화적특수성을 드러낸다. 이는 한국춤의 동작소 하나하나의 차이가 의미소와 같은 언어학적 분절과 같이 자의적인 약호로 작용되며, 공간기호로서 의미작용의 해석의 범위를확대해 나아가는 의미생산의 연속임을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 논의는 카오스의 세계를 이해하기 위한 범주의 구분 또는 차이를 통한 기호학적 재단처럼, 춤 동작소의 시공간적 연속된 기호는 의도된 형태에서 의도되지 않는수많은 공간기호로써 공간학적 해석이 가능하다. 따라서 한국춤에서는 주로 어떠한 선을 공간에 그리는가, 공간에 의미를 부여하기위해 행하는 주된 동작군은 무엇인가? 공간을 분할하는데 중점을 두는 요소는 무엇인가? 하는 의미전달적 기호작용이라기 보다는, 예술적 공간에서 해석되어지는 탈코드화(de-codification)의 공간기호론적 해석에서 한국춤만의 이미지를 생성한다는 점이다. 이는 한국춤이 공간상에 드러내는 신화적 속성이자 문화적 특수성임을 알 수 있다.

Differences in the movements of the dancing exist depending on theculture. On the explicit premise that the dance is the symbol, the analysisof the spaces was done in that the dancing has an artistic significance inthe Phenomenological dimension of the combination of the space of stageand flow of time. The discussion has become the focuses on the steps of the de-codificationin that the psychological codes of the korean dance does the aestheticinterpretation. There is meaning that after the stage, all boundaries arecollapsed like the semiology through the comparison and classification foranalysing the world of chaos. Therefore, Korean dancing is worthy ofnotice in that there is only the image of Korean dance in terms of the spaceinterpretation of de-codification interpreted in the artistic space, rather thansemiotic process of the meaning conveyance like “what lines are drawn incertain spaces?”, “what is the main group of the movements in spaces?”and “what elements are focused on the space division?”
