러시아 아무르강(흑룡강) 중류 지역은 아무르강의 왼쪽 강변을 따라 위치하는 아무르주 일대로, 기후가 온화하여 다양한 생업경제가 가능하다. 그래서 태고 이래로 많은 주민들이 거주하였으며, 중세시대에도 많은 성곽을 만들었다. 한국과 러시아는 다년간 공동으로 이 지역에서 고고학 연구를 수행해왔지만, 여전히 성곽에 대한 관심도는 낮았다. 이에 본고에서는 한국학계에서는 거의 알려지지 않은 러시아 아무르 지역의 중세시대 성과를 크게 세 시기로 나누어서 그 분포, 형식, 특징을 검토해 보았다. 첫 번째, 중세 전기의 유적을 검토하였다. 이 시기의 유적은 크게 말갈문화(트로이츠코예와 나이펠드 그룹)와 미하일로프카 문화로 나뉜다. 오로지 나이펠드 문화의 성곽이 거의 발견되지 않은 것으로 보아 이 그룹의 영향이 그만큼은 적었던 것으로 생각된다. 두 번째, 중세 중기의 유적을 검토하였다. 이 지역은 주로 여진문화가 확인된다. 이 시기의 유적은 러시아 연해주에 위치한 여진(동하국) 유적과 관련성이 보인다. 세 번째, 중세 후기 유적을 검토했는데 다우르식과 듀체르식 성곽이 대표적이다. 아무르 지방에 위치한 중세시대 성곽의 각 분기를 나누어 각 성곽의 현황, 성격, 형식 분류 등을 시도하였다. 이 분석을 보충하기 위하여 아무르강 상류와 아무르강 하류 지역에 위치한 중세시대의 성곽도 각 분기를 나누어 검토하였다. 광대한 아무르 지역에 있는 중세시대 성곽의 현황과 분류를 토대로 건축적 특징, 건축방법과 건축재료, 성곽의 중요한 시설, 문화 교류와 전파가 어떻게 이루어졌는지를 살펴보았다. 중세 전기에 속말말갈이나 발해의 건축전통은 말갈의 트로이츠코예 그룹을 통해 아무르강 중류와 상류까지 보급되었다.

Russian Amur Region is located on the left riverside of the Amur river. Good climateprovided good conditions for economic activity, because of many people lived here for along time before. In the Medieval Age many castles has increased speedily. But even latestresearch of Russian-Korean excavation team in that region did not mentioned about thatarchaeological sites. So, in this article I introduced about Medieval castles in the Russian AmurRegion, still unknown in Korea, and divided all castles on ther eperiod. After that I researchedcastle’s location, types and features in each period. At first, I researched the sites of Early Medieval Age. In that period castles were built byMohe (Troitskoe and Naifeld group) and by people of Mikhailovka culture. But there arenot many Naifeld group’s castles excavated here, so it’s seems that Naifeld group did notinfluence a much on archaeological tradition in that region. The next, I researched the sitesof Middle Medieval Age. In that period there is a jurchen culture. The castles in Amur regionhad a quite similar features with the castles of the same period located in the Russian FarEast. And the last, I studied a castle sites of Late Medieval Age. Usually there are divided ondaur and ducher types. So I divided all Medieval Age castles located in the Russian Amur Region on three periodand tried to make a classification related with the castle’s rcreunt situation, character and type . Also I studied Medieval Age castles located in the upper and the lower region of the AmurRiver. That castles were divided on the three period too. It helped to studied how cultureswere exchange between the huge territory of Amur region. Also it show how architecturalcharacteristics, architectural tradition, methods and materials using in the castle construction,using or not important castles facilities like towers chi or gakru, external gate construction,the form of the wall were exchange and extension for a long time. It’s clear that in the EarlyMedieval Age architectural tradition of Sumo Mohe or Palhae (Balhae) throw Troitskoe groupof Mohe is extended on the middle and the upper region of thme uAr River.
