이 연구는 지적장애인의 대화분석과 생활교사들을 면접하여 지적장애인들의 대화이동 연속체를 찾고 성에 대한 심층적 의식의 주제를 기술하고자 한 것이다. 연구 결과로 그들 대화에서 5개의 대화이동 연속체 원형의 특징이 나타났다. 성에 대한 다양한 경험은 ‘비밀스러운 성경험, 즐거운 데이트경험, 사춘기경험, 자제하고 싶은 자위행위’로 나타났다. 성에 대한 의식구조는 ‘정확하게 아는 남녀의 신체 차이, 잘 모르는 임신과 피임, 성폭력이란 여자를 괴롭히는 나쁜 사람들’로 드러났다. 성지식은 성교육을 통해서라기보다. TV를 통해 습득하는 것으로 나타났다. 그들은 손을 잡거나 연애편지를 전달하는 방식으로 성에 대한 표현을 하고 있었으며 결혼을 해야 성관계를 한다는 성에 대한 규칙이 있었다. 마지막으로 교사들의 면접을 통하여 지적장애인에 대한 지식, 이해와 태도를 보완하였다. 이들은 지적장애인들의 성에 대한 의미를 ‘열고 싶은 판도라상자’로 표현하였다. 이 연구는 지적장애인의 성에 대한 원활한 의사소통과 스스로 창조하는 성에 대한 삶의 질을 향상시키기 위한 기초자료로서 의미를 갖는다.
This study is aimed to explore the sex of people with intellectual disabilities in residential facilities. this study used conversational analysis; the participants were selected from the recommendations of professional groups, and interviewed using the focus group and individual interview methods. The result of this study Appeared to experience a variety of sexual experience; Covert sexual experience, Continued masturbation, Enjoyable dating experience, Adolescent experience; and Sexual knowledge acquired through the TV rather than sex education. Sexual expression was holding hands and Love letter was sent and received. they think that marriage should be able to have sex. Finally Implications for the sexuality of people with intellectual disabilities want to open Pandora's box has been expressed. This study suggested meaning as a basis for improving the quality of life for the sex that created itself on intellectually disabled people.
