이 연구는 사회복지실천현장에서 이루어지고 있는 강점관점 사례관리의 적용과 성과를 서비스 이용자와 사례관리자의 경험을 통해 탐색적으로 파악할 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구목적의 달성을 위해 지난 6년간 강점관점 사례관리 사업을 수행해 온 ‘우리아이 희망네트워크’ 사업수행 기관 중 두 기관을 선정하여 이용자(아동과 부모), 사례관리자, 지역의 인적자원을 대상으로 질적사례연구방법을 적용하여 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 결과 강점관점 사례관리사업 수행을 통하여 서비스 이용자는 주체적으로 성장하였고, 사례관리자들은 서비스 이용자 신뢰와 협력 경험이 확대되었으며, 지역주민의 소속감과 유대감이 강화된 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 강점관점 사례관리 사업의 적용과 평가가 장기적 관점에서 이루어져야 하며, 강점관점의 방향성 유지를 위한 해결중심 슈퍼비전의 중요성과 운영방식에 대해 제안하였다.
This study was conducted to explore how strength based case management was implemented in social work settings and what outcomes were achieved as a result. In order to do so, in-depth interviews were undertaken with service users (children and their parents), case managers and residents of local communities who were actively involved as human resources in two “Children-in-Hope-Network” agencies that practiced strength-based case management for the past 5 years. The research was conducted using qualitative case study methodology. The results revealed that the service users matured and became more self-reliant while case managers developed more trusting and collaborative relationships with service users from participating in strength-based case management. In addition, a stronger sense of belonging and unity formed among the local residents. Based on these results, suggestions were made for strength-based case management to be implemented and evaluated on a long term basis and for case managers to participate in solution-focused supervision regularly in order for them to stick to the strength-based perspective.
