The purposes of this study were to find the trends and correlation of adolescents’ personal-cultural variables. parental variables and family variable, and career maturity and to explore the influence of adolescents’ variableson career maturity. The subjects of the survey was 211 adolescents of multicultural family in the Seoul,Gyeonggi, Chungcheong and Jeolla areas. The data were analyzed with frequency, Pearson’s correlation andstepwise regression by SPSS. The major findings were as follows: first, cultural variables were rather high amongother variables; studying stress was rather high among stress; respect for family is rather high among familystrength; and understanding of self is rather high among career maturity. Second, adolescents’ career maturityhad a significantly positive relation with self-esteem, cultural diversity, open communication, parents’ support andfamily strength. Third adolescents’ career maturity was influenced on open communication, self-esteem and familystrength. Therefore this study made the necessary knowledge for helping adolescents in multicultural familiesachieve career maturity in Korean life in the future.
