The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of a blendedlearning program on EFL middle school students' academic achievement ofEnglish. In addition, this study attempted to examine those students'satisfactions with the blended learning program. To achieve the purposeof this research, 50 middle school students participated in the study. Thestudents' scores of pre- and post-test on their English proficiency wereanalyzed and compared, and questionnaire surveys on how they felttoward the blended learning program were conducted. Major findings ofthis research were as follows; Firstly, the experimental group showed asignificant change in speaking, writing, reading domains compared to thecontrol group which did not participate in the blended English learningprogram: especially, the results of the reading domain showed the mosteffective. Secondly, the experimental group showed higher satisfactioncompared to the control group in terms of their interests in Englishlearning. From the results, suggestions on blended learning as a strategyfor intensifying the effect of cyber learning were made as follows: Firstly,a more specified blended learning model should be devised and applied inmiddle schools. Secondly, interesting and high-quality cyber learningcontents should be developed.
