Da-san(茶山) Jeong Yak-yong(丁若鏞) and Chi-won(卮園) Hwang Sang(黃裳) lived in the latter half of the Cho-seon dynasty. They had a very close relationship a master and a pupil with private matters and literary works. They wrote various kinds of Seosasi[敍事詩; Epic Poetry]. However both of them had watched the same social situation at these time, so they got the same poetic theme. It was composed of an appropriate expression. They showed issues of the political event and social aspect in literary works. Da-san insisted on Saga-jeonggueron(四家 正軌論). He modeled for poets such as Du Bo(杜甫), Han Yu(韓愈), So Sik(蘇軾), Yuk Yu(陸游). Especially, they considered Du Bo's satire spirit against misgovernment. Therefore they composed of the same rhythmical Seosasi[敍事詩; Epic Poetry]. In the ultimate analysis, Da-san wrote on the scholar and leader's point of view. But Chi-won was evaluated to express his emotional words about personal misfortune and social issues.
