통계청에서 실시하는 광업 및 제조업통계조사는 광업 및 제조업부문에 대한 구조와 산업활동실태 등을 종합적으로 파악하기 위해 산업총조사가 실시되는 연도를 제외하고 매년마다 실시하는 전수조사이다. 이 조사에서 얻어진 결과들은 국가나 지방자치단체, 연구소 및 기업의 각종 경제정책이나 경영계획의 수립, 학술연구 등에 널리 활용되고 있다.본 논문에서는 현행 종사자 수 5명 이상인 광업 및 제조업통계조사의 조사체제를 현재의 전수조사에서 표본조사로 전환이 가능한지를 검토해보고, 아울러 조사규모를 축소하면서도 조사결과의 정도를 유지할 수 있는 새로운 조사대상기준을 제시하고자 한다. 또한 표본조사일 경우 적정한 표본규모의 선정과 모수의 추정, 그리고 표본설계의 전반적인 사항 등을 알아보고자 한다.
The Mining and Manufacturing Survey has been conducted every year, except in the years of the Industrial Census. This survey provides detailed annual statistics for the structure, locations and production activities of the mining and manufacturing sectors. These data serve as the framework for economic planning of the Government, planning operations and analyzing markets of individual business, and comparability with other countries.In this study, we consider the coverage and sampling design of the Mining and Manufacturing Survey.
