본 연구는 2010년부터 본격적으로 은퇴의 문으로 들어서고 있는 베이비 붐 세대를 포함한 우리나라 중년남성의 직장생활에 대한 만족도와 사회적 교류의 정도가 성공적인 노후를 위한 준비에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 대하여 설문조사를 활용하여 검증하였다. 또한 평균수명의 연장으로 오랜 노후기간을 함께 보내야 하는 배우자와의 관계가 은퇴를 앞둔 중년 남성의 직장생활과 노후준비 간에 중요한 조절적 역할을 하는 가에 대해 살펴보았다. 이를 검증하기 위하여 수도권에 거주하는 40∼50대 남성들을 대상으로 설문조사 하였고, 그 결과 직장생활에 대한 만족도가 높고 사회적 교류가 많을수록 노후에 대한 계획을 더 많이 세우고 있으나, 반면 노후에 대한 기대나 기다림의 정도는 상대적으로 낮을 것으로 나타났다. 한편 직장생활 특성과 성공적 노후준비와의 영향관계에서 배우자와의 관계의 조절효과는 없는 것으로 분석되었다또한 인구사회학적 측면에서 살펴보면 상대적으로 연령이 낮을수록 배우자와의 관계가 원만하였고 학력이 높고 전문직에 종사하는 사람이 노후에 대한 계획과 기대수준이 높게 나타남을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 은퇴를 앞 둔 중년세대의 성공적인 노후준비를 위한 대안을 제시하였다
The purpose of the study was to analyze the influence of the level of job satisfaction and social interactions of middle-aged men on their successful retirement planning. It was found that a good relationship with a spouse is also important for happy retirement because conjugality has lengthened due to longer life expectancy. To prove the hypotheses, questionaries were taken from middle-aged men in metropolitan areas. The study showed that the level of anticipation for retirement was not high, although higher level of job satisfaction social interactions led to better retirement planning. In addition, from the perspective of demography, younger -aged group has had better relationship with their spouses, and people with higher education and/or professional occupations have had anticipation for retirement. With these findings, the study suggests alternatives for successful retirement of middle-aged men.
