본 연구는 은퇴목회자의 은퇴준비 실태와 그에 따른 성공적 노후 수준과의 관련성을 살펴봄으로써 목회자의 성공적인 노후를 준비하고 지원할 수 있는 방안을 마련하고자 하였다. 연구결과 전반적으로 은퇴목사들의 성공적 노후 수준은 중간보다 약간 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 특히 경제적 준비 수준과 주거생활준비 수준이 낮게 나타났다. 또한 연령이 낮을수록 은퇴준비 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 소득활동 여부에 따른 은퇴준비의 차이는 유의미하였다. 건강생활준비와 가족생활준비에서 경제적 지원제도가 있는 응답자가 그렇지 않은 응답자에 비해 높았다. 은퇴준비 총점과 성공적 노후의 상관관계계수 r=.313(p<.01)으로 유의한 정적 상관관계를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 경제적 준비 차원과 주거생활준비, 건강생활준비, 여가생활준비, 족생활준비 등이 성공적 노화와 유의한 정적 관계에 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 첫째, 제도적 차원의 노후소득보장 체계를 강화할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 경제적 준비 수준과 주거생활준비에 대한 철저한 노후대비가 이루어져야 할 것이다. 셋째, 목회자를 위한들에게 은퇴준비교육 및 지원시스템을 마련할 필요가 있다. 넷째 통합적인 은퇴준비 정책과 전략을 목회자 개인은 물론 교단 차원에서 체계적으로 마련해야 할 필요가 있다. 다섯째, 경제적 측면에서 벗어나 포괄적 차원에서 은퇴준비를 위한 종단차원의 정책 마련되아야 할 것이다.
The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between retirement preparation and successful senior life of retired pastors. The results of the study are summed up as follows. First, the level of successful senior life was shown to be favorable with an overall mean 2.97, a little higher than 2.5 which is a median on the scale of 4. Second, retirement preparation was found to be average with a mean of 2.49. Third, the study compared the means of the level of successful senior life and retirement preparation depending on ages, economic activities, characteristics of residing areas, retirement types, and the congregation power of the church they retire from. In economic activities, the preparation level was higher in retired pastors who engaged in economic activities in terms of the total score of retirement preparation and sub-dimensions of retirement preparation than those who aren’t.
