This study is on the copy of different edition, Jang Gil San. As we know, it was a newspaper serial which had appeared in Han Kook Daily(한국일보) about for 10 years from July 11th, 1974 to July 5th, 1984 and it was a serial in 2092 installments. It was published by Hyeon Am Sa Press(현암사판) and 10 years later issued again by Chang Jak and Bipyeong Press(창작과비평사판) in 1995. The author, Hwang Seok-young in prison said the latter was an original copy. In this edition, the author dared to strike off the miscellaneous passages, modified the wrong investigated passages, especially in No.9, restored the dropped serials and reversed parts, and cut off the last part of No.10, the passages related to the Bong San mask dance. In these sense, this study compares and analyzes two editions on the parts of deletion, modification, and supplement, Nevertheless, eight doubtful parts were still remained in the edition of Chang Jak and Bipyeong Press(창작과비평사판). It is considered that the most necessary procession is in the course of comparison and analysis how the author deleted, modified, and supplemented the same work.
