The aim of this study is to develop the rhetorical reading of the image narrative for the narrative culture education. The image narrative has characteristic form. The aim of rhetorical reading is to interpret how the text makes the reader's cognition and emotional response. With this method, the student can find the hidden value system and presuposition. According to this method, first, the student can analysis the story and discourse. The story is composed of syntagmatic axis and pragmatic axis. In the image narrative, especially the pragmatic axis is crucial to make hidden meaning. The image narrative is composed voice, image and language, so the pragmatic axis makes hidden cause and effect. In the discourse layer, the audio-vedio focalization controls the emotional response of viewer. The T.V drama expand the event in social-cultural context. The animation reduce the event to individual psyche.
