본고는 학습용 만화 『태극천자문』의 서사 전략을 분석하였다. 본고는 『태극천자문』 등의 한자 학습용 만화가 동양권 아동을 독자로 한 콘텐츠라는 점에 주목하였다. 본고는 다음과 같은 서사 전략을 분석하였다. 첫째, 『태극천자문』은 동심에근간을 둔 모험의 상상력을 보여준다. 이 작품은 호족과 용족의 갈등에 바탕을 둔성장담이자 모험담이다. 태극수호대에 속한 아이들은 시련을 성공적으로 극복하여자아를 실현한다. 둘째, 『태극천자문』은 동양 가치를 존중하는 음양의 상상력을 보여준다. 이 작품은 음과 양의 불균형은 인간성과 생태계를 파괴시킨다는 점을 강조한다. 음과 양이 조화를 이룰 때 중간자를 매개로 하여 동료애와 협동심이 비로소 나타난다.
This thesis analyzed narrative strategies of Taegeuk Cheonjamun, the cartoon forstudy. This thesis determined that requisites for success to edutainment for childrenare ingenious narrative strategies. This thesis noticed that cartoons for Chinese characterstudy as Taegeuk Cheonjamun, are contents for Asian children. This thesis anatomize these narrative strategies. First, Taegeuk Cheonjamun showsimagination having adventures in innocence of childhood. This literature is growthtale and adventure story, based on a conflict between powerful family and youngjok. Children in taegeuk safeguard achieve self-fulfillment over trials successfully. Second, Taegeuk Cheonjamun shows imagination about yin and yang as easternvalues. This work shows that imbalance of yin and yang destroys humanity andecosystem. When yin and yang are in harmony, comradeship and the spirit of teamwork apper.
