이 논문의 목적은 1970년대 산업자본주의시대에 여성의 삶의 변화와 여성 서사의 연관성을살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. 1970년대 우리 사회는 경제구조 개편으로 말미암아 자본주의적 가부장제의 정착과 중산층이 형성되는 변화를 경험하였다. 이러한 변화는 여성의 삶에 양국적인변화를 미쳤다. 즉 가사와 육아를 담당하는 중산층의 전업주부와 성과 육체를 담보로 하여 창녀로 전락한 하층민 여성들이 확연하게 나뉘어졌다. 여성의 삶을 그린 1970년대의 여성 작가와 남성 작가들은 대조적인 모습을 보이고 있다. 여성 작가들은 중산층 여성들의 삶에 관심을 보인 반면, 남성 작가들은 하층민 여성들의 삶을 그리는 데 주력하였다. 여성 작가들의 직품은 다시 두 가지로 대별된다. 먼저 천통적 가부장제와지본주의적 가부장제가 공존해 있는 상황에서 여성 주체로서의 자아 찾기를 시도하는데 초점을 둔 작품군이 있다. 그리고 중산층 여성들의 삶에 밀착하여 중산층의 허위의식과 속물근성을 비판하는 삭품군이 있다. 남성 작가들의 작품 경향 또한 비판적인 작품과 감상주의적인 작품으로 크게 나누어진다. 전자는 도시로 입성한 농촌 출신 여성의 전략 과정을 세세하게 보여줌으으로써 남성과 여성에게위계적인 구조로 적용되는 섹슈얼리티의 근원에 국가의 권력과 남성 중심적인 향락문화와 성시장의 원리가 개입되어 있음을 비판하고 있다. 이에 비해 후자는 여성에게 가해지는 도시의폭력성은 외면하고 여성의 성과 육체에 탐닉하는 감상주의적인 태도를 취하고 있다. 여기서 작가는 남성의 성척 욕망을 충족하기 위한 백일몽적 일탈과 현실로부터의 도피를 꿈꾸고 있다. 1970년대 여성적 삶의 변화와 변화의 흐름을 제대로 살펴보기 위해서는 1970년대 산업화와근대화 과정의 인간 존재방식에 대한 총체적인 고찰이 이루어져야 할 것이다. 더 나아가 성역할이 여성과 남성의 성별 차이 즉 젠더에 따라 척용방식이 다르게 나타난다는 점을 고려해보면, 1970년대 독재정권의 국가권력이 남성과 여성에 따라 다르게 작동되었던 역학구조를 살펴보아야 할 것이다.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the correlation between the women's life and the female narrative in Industrial Capitalism Age of 1970's. Our society in 1970s went through the process of change which fixed capitalist patriarchy and formed the middle class on accord with reorganizing of economic structure. This change effected on the women's life extremely. That is, the 1970 s women are divided into two groups, which one is the housewives in the middle class keeping house and rearing child, the other is the prostitutes in the lower-class offering sex and body. The female and male writers show to us different aspect of the women's life in 1970s. The female writers are concerned about the women in the middle class meanwhile the male writers concentrate their efforts on describing the women's life in the lower-class. The works of female writers are two types. The one is work which seeks for self as women subject under the condition of coexisting traditional patriarchy and capitalist patriarchy. The other is work which criticizes on false-consciousness and snobbery through the women's life of the middle-class. Also the works of male writers are two types, the critical and the sentimental novel. The former describes the process of corrupting minutely how the women from the country areas who moved into cities, and criticizes the state power and male dominant power which get involved with sexuality that applies to male and female. The latter takes sexual indulgence with sentimental attitude, looking over the violence of city which regulates women's life. The writer in this novel is trying to escape from real life and to pursue a daydreaming deviation to satisfy sexual desires of men. To analyze the whole aspects of the change women's life and swift of the change in 1970’s, studies of human being style on the whole in the process of industrialization and modernization should be included. Evenmore, considered the sex role applying to gender discriminately, the social structure in 1970’s where the state power of dictational government was operated on male and female inequally should be examined.
