본고에서는 사도세자의 친모 선희궁 영빈 이 씨가 쓴 「여범」의 독해 방식을규명하는 것을 목적으로 했다. 또한 지금까지의 규훈서 연구들이 주로 텍스트의 내용에 초점을 맞추었다고 보고, 이와는 다르게 텍스트의 형식을 보다 면밀하게 검토함으로써 다른 규훈서들과 구별되는 「여범」 고유의 특질 및 문학사적 위상을 드러내려고 했다. 이를 위해 2장에서는 「여범」과 가장 유사한 방식으로 쓰여진 「열녀전」 및여러 규훈서의 서술상에 나타나는 특징을 찾아내어, 이 규훈서들이 독해되는방식을 체계화 했다. 그 결과 이 규훈서들에서는 인물을 둘러싼 사건이 보편적도덕 원리를 입증하는 방식으로 재현되며, 따라서 독자들은 텍스트 외적 요인들이 가리키는 바에 따라 작품 속에 등장하는 인물들을 해석한다는 것을 알았다. 3장에서는 「여범」의 서술 방식 또는 독해 방식이 전 장에서 살펴본 규훈서와 동일한가라는 물음의 해답을 찾고자 했다. 그 결과 「여범」은 주석이나 논평대신 텍스트 내적인 구조와 이야기 세계 내부 인물들의 발화를 통해 입전 인물들에 대한 규범적 해석을 유도한다는 점에서 이전의 규훈서들과는 다른 방식으로 독해될 수 있는 텍스트임을 알았다. 결론적으로 『여범』에는 한문 텍스트를 읽고 쓰는 방식뿐만이 아니라 한글텍스트를 읽고 쓰는 방식, 즉 탈맥락적인 독해방식이 새롭게 적용되었으며, 이두 가지 방식의 대화적 상황은 전자의 방식이 지배적이던 체계에 도전한다는점에서 의의가 있다고 보았다.

This paper has been focused on identifying the feature of Yeobeom. In order to identify the reading methods, the paper has been proceeded with the formal feature within the female normative books. On chapter 2 the paper intended to find out the narrational features of Yeolyeojeon and other normative books. As a result, the paper find out that these books need a contingency reading. On chapter 3 the paper intended to find out the features of the reading meathod of Yeobeom. As a result the paper find out that the specificity of Yeobeom is intertextuality or polyphony. Readers understand this book in a way of the contingency reading or in a way of the a decontextualized reading. Here, the paper suggest that the ways of reading and writing in chinese characters and the ways of reading and writing in Hangul are coexist together in Yeobeom.
