This article explores the experiences of christian men in mid–life and their adjustment process types by means of ‘in–depth interviews.’ From analysis, the paradigm model had 6 stages, namely ‘causal condition’ which included ‘Regret emotion’, ‘context’ which was ‘aging phenomenon’, ‘intervening conditions’ which included ‘attitude’, ‘interaction’ which emerged five stages, and ‘consequences’ which included three patterns of mid–life adjustment. And ‘Still dreaming men in mid–life’ was presented as a core phenomenon implicating ‘impatient and expectation.’ As a result, three types of their adjustment in mid–life were found: a dream–oriented type, an obligation–oriented type and a conflictive type. And also through a process analysis, adjustment process were found in five stages which were ‘a valuation stage’, ‘a revision stage’, ‘a compromise stage’,‘a preparation stage’ and ‘an extension stage.’ A critical perspective on patriarchal context of Korea was used for a discussion. This suggested that an encouragement, a comfort and a dispatch to a revised life by pastoral community were needed. Furthermore, this proposed a diversity of God image which was consistent with men’s experiences.
