The study focuses on pre-service teachers’ perspectives and investigates what they know about computer-assisted language learning (CALL) instruction and what they expect to learn in the teacher training program. Forty participants, who were in the department of English education and enrolled in the CALL course, participated in this study. The survey and interview were used to collect quantitative and qualitative data. The results indicated that the participants thought receptive and oral skills of language to be the most beneficial areas with the use of CALL. They also recognized advantages and disadvantage of CALL. In addition, the participants expected to improve technological skills for classroom use and wanted to learn how to use them in integrated ways. From these results, the study concludes that the pre-service teachers should be trained to use appropriate technological skills in different teaching contexts and instructed new pedagogical skills that incorporate various technologies to CALL classrooms. Suggestions and implications for the CALL teacher education are also made.
