이 연구의 목적은 네트워크 텍스트 분석방법을 이용하여 세계적 수준의 전문대학 운영 우수사례를 분석함으로써, 전문대학의 효과적인 교육 및 운영에 대한 시사점을 제공하는 데 있다. 이를 위해서 세계적 수준의 전문대학(WCC) 운영과 관련된 각 WCC 대학의 운영 우수사례 조사를 실시하였다. 조사를 통해 수집된 총 38편의 우수사례 내용을 네트워크 텍스트 분석방법을 적용하여 WCC 운영 우수사례의 주요어를 도출하고, 주요어 간의 구조적 특성과 관계를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 향상, 글로벌, 양성, 해외, 취업, 강화 등의 주요어가 연결중심성과 아이겐벡터중심성 모두 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이는 이 주요어들이 노출빈도가 높은 동시에 영향력이 높은 중심 주요어로 전체 네트워크에서 허브 역할을 하는 것을 의미한다. 즉, WCC로 선정된 우수한 전문대학들은 향상, 글로벌, 양성, 해외, 취업, 강화 등의 주요어로 대표되는 특성을 강조하고 있는 것을 의미한다. 그리고 65개의 핵심 주제어 사이의 네트워크는 4개 유형의 클러스터를 형성하고 있었다. 클러스트 1은 글로벌과 운영을 중심으로 향상, 시스템, 구축, 능력, 해외 등의 주요어와 연계되어 글로벌 역량 강화 및 지원시스템 구축을 의미하고 있었다. 클러스트 2는 취업과 상담을 중심으로 학생, 개발, 지원, 커리어, 관리 등의 주요어와 연계되어 학생 취업 및 경력관리지원을 의미하며, 클러스트 3은 양성과 융합을 중심으로 인재, 인성, 리더십, 창의 등의 주요어와 연계되어 차별된 인재 양성을 의미하고 있었다. 클러스트 4는 산업체와 전문성을 중심으로 실무, 연계, 인력, 협력, 산학 등의 주요어와 연계되어 현장 전문성을 의미하고 있었다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 전문대학의 교육 및 운영에 대한 시사점을 제공하고 연구결과 활용 및 후속연구를 위한 사항을 제언하였다.
The purpose of this paper was to draw implications for an effective management of korean colleges through the study of exemplary management cases of World Class College(WCC) using the Network Text Analysis. To do this, best practices in management and administration of each WCC colleges were first collected (38 cases), then using the Network Text Analysis, key words of those cases were extracted and analyzed by looking at their structural characteristics as well as the relationships between those key words. The results showed that the words ‘improvement’, ‘global’, ‘training’, ‘abroad’, ‘employment’, ‘reinforcement’ had high level of degree centrality and Eigen vector centrality. This implies that those key words have high frequency of exposure as well as degree of influence, meaning that they are forming a hub within the whole network. It was also found out that there were four types(cluster 1~4) of clusters formed by the networks between the 65 key words that were extracted. Cluster 1 was found to mainly explain aspects related to the word ‘global’, ‘management’ and that were linked with key words such as ‘reinforcement’, 'system', ‘building’, 'ability' and 'abroad'. For cluster 2, the following words ‘employment’, ‘student counselling’, were found to be linked together to with key words such as 'student', 'development', ‘support’, and ‘career’. Cluster 3 was found to mainly explain aspects of training talented individuals that were linked to the key words ‘talented person’, ‘personality’, ‘leadership’ and ‘innovation’. In the case of cluster 4, industrial-college cooperation were represented by key words such as ‘industry’, ‘professionalism’, ‘in business’,‘association’, ‘manpower’, and ‘cooperation’, that were interconnected and were found to be associated with industry-college cooperation. Based on these results, future orientations and policies for education and management of korean colleges were proposed as well as implications for future research.
