본 연구는 법교육 전문가들의 의견을 수렴하여 체계적인 사회과 법교육과정 개발의 기초자료를 마련하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 델파이 조사기법을 통하여 법교육 전문가들이 생각하는 법교육의 의미, 초중고 법교육과정의 학교급별 목표와 내용요소, 교수학습 방법 및 평가 등에 대한 기초 체계를 구성해 보는 것이 본 연구의 주안점이다. 본 연구는 3차에 걸친 전문가 델파이 조사를 통해, 법교육의 의미, 일반적 목표와 학교급별 목표, 학교급별 내용요소, 교수학습방법, 평가방법, 법교육과정 구성, 법교육 저해요인 등에 대해 질문하고 그에 대한 응답을 정리하여 사회과 법교육과정 개발을 위한 시사점을 도출하는 방식으로 이루어졌다. 본 연구의 결과 도출된 제안점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 법교육 목표에 있어 기능․참여, 가치․태도 영역을 강조할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 법교육의 목표를 학교급별로 재정립할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 학교급별로 법교육 내용요소가 차별화되어야 한다. 넷째, 실생활 중심의 법교육 내용을 강화해야 한다. 다섯째, 학교급별로 다양한 형태의 법교육 교수․학습자료를 개발하여, 교사들이 적절한 교수학습활동을 할 수 있도록 지원해야 한다. 마지막으로, 법교육에 대한 교사의 전문성을 신장시키기 위하여 예비교사와 현직교사를 대상으로 하는 법교육을 강화해야 하며, 정부 및 교육청과 지역사회 법조계, 학교의 협력지원체계를 마련해야 한다.

This study was carried out as a basic research to systematically develope Law-related-education(LRE) curriculum in Social Studies education. This research employed the Delphi Method to reach a consensus with the experts in LRE and tried to derive the meaning of LRE, the goals and contents in LRE curriculum at school stages(elementary school, middle school, high school), instruction methods, evaluation methods, and construction of LRE curriculum. Putting experts's opinions together, LRE curriculum needs to consider the following in future : ⅰ) the emphasis on skill․participation and value․attitude aspects in the goals of LRE, ⅱ) reconstruction of the goals of LRE at school levels(elementary school, middle school, high school), ⅲ) classification of the contents of LRE at school stages, ⅳ) LRE contents focused on real life, ⅴ) developing various teaching materials, ⅵ) buildup the pre and present teacher training and network in government, regional education office, legal circles and school for cooperating and supporting LRE.
