The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects on attitude change of general students toward students with disabilities through curricula infusion with disability awareness program. For this purpose, 60 4th grade general students from a public elementary school in Incheon were selected. 30 children from the group were assigned to the experimental group, and the other 30 to the controlled group respectively. This particular school does not operate any special classes. Curricula infusion incorporates information about disabilities and contents related to human rights into ongoing general education curricular. Curricula infusion process employed moral subject, language art, and social studies classes in elementary school. While the control group was given regular moral subject, social studies, language art without curricular infusion for disability awareness, the experimental group were given regular moral subject, social studies, language art through curricular infusion for disability awareness. Both group received 10 sessions with given curriculum. The result showed significant differences in attitudes of general students toward students with disabilities between groups. The students who received curricula infusion instruction developed more positive attitudes toward students with disabilities within statistical limits. Additional suggestions for implementing curricular infusion across different grade levels and curricular areas were offered.
