본 연구에서는 정부가 주최하는 보훈 관련 기념행사에의 참여의도를 설명･예측할 수 있는 요인을 규명하고자 하였다. 특히 국가보훈 및 나라사랑 의식조사에서 상대적으로 낮은 수준의 의식을 보이고 있는 대학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고 이를 토대로 가설을 검증하였다. 구조방정식 모형 분석에 의한 가설검증 결과, 보훈 관련 정부기념행사에 대한 정의적 태도, 주관적 규범, 그리고 지각된 행동통제는 행사 참여의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 하지만 정부기념행사에 대한 인지적 태도와 홍보경험은 행사 참여의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치지 않는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 분석결과를 토대로 대학생들의 보훈 관련 정부기념행사 참여 제고를 위한 이론적･정책적 함의를 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that explain the participation intent of Veterans Memorial Events. This study surveys the college students that have relatively low level of awareness at the national Veterans and love of the nation and tests the hypotheses. The analysis of structural equation modeling show that affective attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control to the Veterans Memorial Events have significantly positive impacts on the intent of participation. Otherwise, cognitive attitude and PR experience with the Veterans Memorial Events do not have significantly positive influences on the intent of participation. Based on these results, the theoretical and practical implications for improving the participation of the college students are suggested.
