Over the last three decades, there are many researches focusing on the practice and theory of RM in airlines. Most of them have dealt with a seat assignment problem for maximizing the total revenue on individual customers. In this paper, we focus on an integrated seat assignment problem in airlines for both individual and group demands. We first explain the characteristics of air travel demand and their seat allocation processes. With some assumptions on the demand distributions, we will show our problem can be formulated as a mixed Integer Programming model which is easy to solve. Also, we will suggest an efficient seat control scheme for ad-hoc demand which is occurred randomly in practice.
