The aim of this paper is to explain interconnection between North Korea's social changes and the youth's culture in the country. To complete this aim, the discourses and theories of social changes will be considered. Through application of theoretical approaches to North Korea's social changes, the characteristics and the patterns of the youth's recent culture will be defined. By doing this research, three vital points can be concluded. Firstly, there is a symptom of changes in the youth's culture since North Korea implemented partial open-door policy. It is known that North Korean authority has suffered from problems such as the weakness of morality in general, infidelity to the Party, and the expansion of the individualism in the youth. Secondly, if we regard the current situation of North Korea as a transition period, the youth's life would also be influenced by the country's changes. Thirdly, the change of the youth's behavior and thought is a crucial factor that would transform the stagnant society to the dynamic one. In short, it implies that there is a clear inter-relationship between the country's reforms and the youth's culture.
