본 연구의 목적은 고등학생을 대상으로 MBTI 성격유형검사와 Strong진로탐색검사의 관계를 밝힘으로써 고교생이 검사에서 보여준 성격과 흥미의 통합을 통하여 자신의 이해와 진로선택에 있어 보다 적절한 진로상담이 이루어지도록 도움을 주고자 하는 것이다. 연구 대상은 2004년 서울에 위치한 고등학생 609명(남: 235명, 여: 374명)에게 MBTI와 Strong진로탐색검사를 실시하여 성격유형과 GOT척도와의 상관분석과 중다회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 심리기능과 GOT척도에 대해 변량분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 성격유형과 직업흥미와의 관계에서 E(외향형)는 사무형(C)과, T(사고형)는 탐구형(I)과 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 심리기능과 직업흥미와의 관계에서 남학생은 유의미한 결과가 나타나지 않았으나, 여학생은 탐구형(I)은 NT가 예술형(A)은 NF가 사회형(S)은 SF와 NF가 진취형(E)에서는 ST와 사무형(C)은 ST가 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통하여 볼 때 MBTI성격유형과 Strong진로탐색검사의 직업흥미와는 관련이 있음이 밝혀졌다.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between MBTI and Strong interest inventory of high school students and to serve as a proper career counselling for self-understanding and helping to choose future career through integrating the character type and interest, The subjects of the present study are 609 high school students(235 boys, 374 girls) living in Seoul area. MBTI and Strong interest inventory were administered. The correlation analysis and multiple linear regression of preference tendency and GOT scale and ANOVA of psychological function and GOT scale were carried out for statistical analysis. As for the relationship between psychological function and vocational interest, male students did not show any meaningful relationships but female students showed meaningful relationship between I type and NT, A type and NF, S type and SF, E type and ST, C type and ST. The results also showed strong relationships between the MBTI type indicator and vocational interest of Strong vocational inventory.
