본 연구는 소년보호처분을 받고 있는 비행청소년의 심리사회적 특성을 살펴봄으로써 비행청소년들에 대한 적절한 개입과 비행 예방에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해 사회내처우 비행청소년과 시설내처우 비행청소년의 특성을 비교해보았다. 연구결과 시설내처우 비행청소년은 가족의 구조적, 기능적 결손을 더 많이 나타내었고, 생활수준이 낮았다. 그리고 사회내처우 비행청소년은 시설내처우 청소년보다 자기통제력과 자존감이 더 높게 나타났고, 시설내처우 비행청소년은 더 공격적인 특성을 나타내고 있었다. 또한 로지스틱 회귀분석 결과, 비행청소년의 사회내처우와 시설내처우 분류에 있어서 보호소년의 연령, 보호자 유형, 보호소년의 공격성이 영향력있는 변인으로 밝혀졌다.

Purpose of this study is to provide basic data necessary for proper intervention and prevention of bad behaviors of the youth by reviewing social psychological characteristics of misdemeanor youth under protection of the youth. For this, characteristics of misdemeanor youth within the society and misdemeanor youth within the facility were compared. As the results of the study, misdemeanor youth within the facility have shown more structural and functional defects of families and their living standard was low. And misdemeanor youth within the society have shown higher self-control and pride than the youth within the facility and misdemeanor youth within the facility have shown more aggressive characteristics. In addition, as the results of logistical regression analysis, in classification of treatment within the society and treatment within the facility of misdemeanor youth, age, types of guardians, and aggressiveness of the youth under protection were turned out as influential variables.
