본 연구의 목적은 청소년의 학교생활적응을 구성하는 학습활동, 학교규칙, 교우관계, 교사관계의 총 네 개의 점수를 이용하여 잠재프로파일(Latent Profile)을 나누고 각 집단과 휴대전화 이용 유형과의 관련성을 알아보는 것이다. 분석결과, 학교생활적응력이 가장 우수한 집단으로 학습활동, 학교규칙, 교우관계, 교사관계의 네 수준이 모두 평균보다 양호한 집단을 적응우수집단(24.97%)으로 명명하였다. 이에 비해 학습활동, 학교규칙, 교우관계는 다소 양호하나 교사관계 수준이 특히 평균 수준인 집단은 적응보통집단(21.72%)으로 명명하였다. 학교생활적응력이 매우 낮고 심각한 집단으로 학습활동, 학교규칙, 교우관계, 교사관계의 수준이 모두 평균보다 낮은 집단은 부적응심각집단(23.58%)으로 명명하였다. 부적응보통집단(29.74%)은 네 수준이 모두 평균보다 다소 낮은 편이었다. 청소년의 학교생활적응의 각 잠재집단과 휴대전화 이용 유형 변인과의 관련성을 살펴본 결과, 게임 및 오락을 많이 할수록 다른 세 집단에 속하기보다 부적응심각집단에 속할 가능성이 가장 높았다. 가족과 통화나 문자를 많이 하지 않을수록 부적응심각집단에, 가족과 통화나 문자를 많이 할수록 적응우수집단에 속할 가능성이 가장 높았다. 또한, 친구와 통화나 문자를 많이 할수록 다른 세 집단에 속하기보다 부적응심각집단에 속할 가능성이 높았으며, 음악․동영상 및 사진촬영 변수에서는 모든 집단간 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구는 청소년의 학교생활적응에서 휴대전화 이용과 관련하여 상담 및 교육에 대한 기초자료를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 보인다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 시사점과 제한점이 논의되었다.
The purpose of this study is to identify latent profiles in adolescents' school adjustment in order to test the relationship of the above to the mobile phone usage type on determining latent profiles. The results indicated that there were four types of latent profiles in adolescents' school adjustment: An 'excellent adjustment group', a 'middle adjustment group', a 'middle maladjustment group' and a 'severe maladjustment group'. About 24.97% of the participants were classified as an ‘excellent adjustment group’ which scored high on the variables of learning activities, school rules, peer relations, and teacher relations. About 21.72% of the participants were classified as a ‘middle adjustment group’ which scored rather high on the variables of learning activities, school rules, and peer relationships but is the average score on the variable of teacher relations. In contrast, About 23.58% of the participants were classified as a ‘severe maladjustment group’ which scored very low on the variables of learning activities, school rules, peer relations, and teacher relations. About 29.74% of the participants were classified as a ‘middle maladjustment group’ which scored slightly lower than average on the variables of learning activities, school rules, peer relations, and teacher relations. Multinomial logistic analysis showed that playing game, texting and calling with family and friend were significant determinants of the latent profiles, but listening music and taking photo weren't. Specifically, It was also found that the more adolescents who play game, text and call with friend were more likely to belong to the ‘severe maladjustment group’, but the more adolescents who text and call with family were more likely to belong to the ‘the excellent adjustment group’. The findings of this study can be utilized as preliminary materials for group counseling and education of adolescents in relation to mobile phone usage. Both the implications and limitations of this study were also discussed, along with suggestions for future research.
