본 연구는 대학생의 역할지향성과 양성평등의식, 일희망의 관계를 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 서울과 경기권 4년제 대학생 543명을 대상으로 조사연구를 수행하였으며 자료분석은 빈도분석, 상관분석, 차이분석, 중다회귀분석을 사용하여 검증하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생들이 역할지향성에서 작업자역할보다 배우자와 부모역할에 대한 지향이 높았고, 전반적으로 높은 양성평등의식을 보였으며, 일희망은 목표, 주체성, 경로 순으로 평균값이 높았다. 둘째, 성별에 따른 역할지향성과 양성평등의식, 일희망의 차이는 역할지향성의 배우자역할, 부모역할, 모든 영역의 양성평등의식에서 유의미한 차이를 보였지만, 일희망의 모든 하위요인에서 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 셋째, 전공에 따른 역할지향성, 양성평등의식, 일희망의 차이는 역할지향성의 작업자역할과 부모역할, 양성평등의식의 모든 하위요인, 일희망의 목표에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 넷째, 상관분석에서 일희망의 주체성은 역할지향성의 배우자역할, 경로는 역할지향성의 부모역할, 목표는 배우자역할과 학교생활의 양성평등의식과 가장 높은 정적 상관을 보였다. 배우자역할과 부모역할은 가정생활의 양성평등의식과 작업자역할은 사회문화생활과 가장 높은 부적상관을 보였다. 다섯째, 역할지향성과 양성평등의식이 일희망에 미치는 영향은 작업자지향이 일희망 중 경로와 목표에, 학교생활의 양성평등의식은 일희망의 목표에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으나, 설명력이 낮아 중요한 변수로서 영향력은 확인되지 않았다. 본 연구를 통해 20대들의 변화된 젠더의식, 가치를 두는 역할과 일에 대한 긍정적 실천력을 이끄는 동기와의 관계를 탐색할 수 있었다.


The objective of this study was to analyze relationships among university students’ role orientation and their consciousness of gender equality and work hope. For this purpose, 543 students attending 4 year universities in Seoul and Gyeonggi‐do were surveyed, and collected data were analyzed through frequency analysis, correlation analysis, difference analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, with regard to role orientation, university students showed higher spouse role and parent role than worker role, and their consciousness of gender equality were generally high. In addition, the mean score of work hope was high in order of goal, agency, and pathway. Second, with regard to difference in role orientation, consciousness of gender equality, and work hope according to gender, significant differences were observed between male and female students in spouse role and parent role among the sub‐factors of role orientation, and in all the sub‐factors of consciousness of gender equality, but no difference was observed in the sub‐factors of work hope. Third, with regard to difference in role orientation, consciousness of gender equality, and work hope according to major, significant differences were observed in worker role and parent role among the sub‐factors of role orientation, in all the sub‐factors of consciousness of gender equality, and in goal among the sub factors of work hope. Fourth, in the results of correlation analysis, agency of work hope was in the highest positive correlation with spouse role of role orientation, pathway was with parent role of role orientation, and goal was with spouse role and with consciousness of gender equality in school life. In addition, spouse role and parent role were in the highest negative correlation with consciousness of gender equality in home life, and worker role was with consciousness of gender equality in sociocultural life. Fifth, with regard to the effect of role orientation and consciousness of gender equality on work hope, worker orientation had a significant effect on pathway and goal among the sub factors of work hope, and consciousness of gender equality in school life had on goal of work hope, but they were not recognized as material variables because of their low explanatory power. Through this study, we explored relationships among changed gender consciousness, valued roles, and motives inducing positive power of execution for work in young people in their 20s.
