The purpose of this study is to make investigation into the characteristics of Han Hyo's criticism which had deployed in latter 1930's. Existing studies on the Han Hyo's criticism were very loose and performed only in respect of its reception, even if it is studied in the context of modern literary criticisms. Properly the essential aspect has been ignored. By very reasons of these, to adjust in order his critical accomplishment which had continued to division of Korean peninsula and to give some supplementary explanation to the historical system of Korean modern literary criticism, this study aimed at Han Hyo's criticism. To appreciate the characteristics of Han Hyo's criticism, this study borrowed some conceptions of Michel Foucault; Discourse, Other, Knowledge-Power. The strategies of Han Hyo, devised to penetrate the principles of socialist realism, are inquired out. They are ‘will toward truth', ‘principle of genus' and ‘horizontal arrangement of objects'. Investigation into these strategies shows that as an extension of KAPF's literary criticism Han Hyo's socialist realism is a result of antithetical thought of identity which is inclined to ‘theory' and 'content'.
