이 연구는 현재 교육대학원 교직과정 중 미술과에 한해서 실제 교직과정을 이수하는 재학원생들을 대상으로 면접법을 사용하여 연구하였다. 연구자가 원생들의 실제 교직과정 경험을 재구성하여 미술교사 양성 실태와 관련 요인들의 관계를 규명하여, 문제점을 제기하는 것이 목적이다. 미술과 교사양성 제도 중에서 특히 교육대학원 교직과정을 연구대상으로 선택한 것은 교육대학원에서 미술과 교직과정 이수 제도에 대한 문제점을 제기하고자 하는데 있다. 본 연구를 위해 먼저 미술 중등 정교사 양성 제도와 현황, 임용제도, 임용현황 등을 조사․분석하였고, 그 다음 교육대학원 미술교육과에서 교직과정을 이수하는 학생들을 면접법에 의해 연구하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 미적 교과인 미술 교과의 성격과 목표, 미술교사의 특성에 대해 문제를 제기하고, 그에 따른 교육대학원 미술과 교직과정의 기능과 역할에 대해 비판적 관점을 제시하는데 있다.
This study is intended to carry out the qualitative research targeting current students actually pursuing the arts teacher education major among all teacher educations in graduate school. The purpose of this study is to reconstitute actual teacher education courses for graduate students, determine the actual condition in the cultivation of arts teachers and the relationships between relevant factors and address relevant problems. The teacher education in graduate school of education is specifically selected among all arts teacher education programs to raise problems regarding the arts teacher education course in the graduate school of education. For this study, the program and current condition of arts teacher education for middle school level, teacher certification system and teacher certification status were investigated and analyzed first, and then the students majoring in arts education in graduate school of education who actually pursued the arts teacher education were analyzed through the qualitative method. This study intends to present an opportunity to consider the characteristics and objective of arts education, the characteristics of teachers appropriate for the arts education and the teacher certification system thereof.
