학생들에게 생태학적 관점의 미술수업은 자연과 사람, 사람과 사람과의 관계 속에서 서로를 배려하는 심성을 키우며, 자연체험 과정을 작품으로 표현하게 함으로서 창의력을 키우며, 함께 공존하고 상상할 수 있는 방법을 찾는 과정이 된다. 이 연구에서는 강과 습지의 생태, 그리고 그곳에서 서식하는 어류나 조류, 식물 등을 살펴보고 자연환경의 중요성과 함께 생태학적 접근을 통한 통합교육과 창의인성교육을 조명한다. 강의 생태와 관련한 다양한 체험활동들은 생태학적 접근의 주제중심적 미술활동으로매체, 표현방법을 통해 학습자들의 사고를 계발하고 확장시키며 창의적 표현을 신장하고 개인의 정체성 확립, 인성교육뿐만 아니라 사회와 소통할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다. 특히 지역의 자연환경과 자연생태를 연계한 미술활동과 교육과정은 학생들에게 공동체 의식을 심어주며 소통과 이해를 바탕으로 자연환경과 생태에 대한 구체적 지식과함께 문제점들을 파악하고 이해할 수 있는 한 방법이다.
Ecological approach of art lessons offer to develop students' thoughts, care, creativity and live together concerning with man and nature. We hereby examine bearing with the nature's environment and ecology such as river, stream and marsh where fish, birds, and plants live together reference to art lessons focusing on the importance of nature environment with discussing the ecological literacy. Subject center art lessons based on ecological approach of teaching and learning methods develop and enlarge learners' thoughts and improving their creative art expressions. These also help to build up learners' personal identity upon their character education which offers the opportunity to communication with society. Especially, the art lessons and art curriculum relate the nature's environment and ecology give students the awareness of communal society. Students will understand the ecological environment and nature ecology more critical way and diagnosis the problems more deeply. We discuss three factors regarding ecological approach of art lessons. First of all, we examine the meaning of ecological approach of art lessons dealing with social issues. Second we search for river's ecosystem with ecological adaptation. Third, we talk about art lessons applying for river ecology and how students enjoy and express their ideas and feelings upon them besides students learn the ecological problems exposure the socio-problems. Students enjoy the art activities using various materials which cultivate students' ecological literacy higher along with aesthetic emotion.
