이 연구의 목적은 DACUM 직무 분석법을 적용하여 초등 교사의 직무를 분석하는 것이다. 연구의 내용은 초등 교사의 직무를 구성하는 임무와 과업을 추출하는 것이며, 과업별 중요도, 난이도, 수행 빈도를 밝히고, 특정 과업이 입직 초기에 갖추어야 할 핵심 과업인지 여부를 밝히는 것이다. 또한 직무 분석 내용을 구조화 하여 초등 교사의 직무 모형을 제시하는 것이다. DACUM 직무 분석을 위해 1명의 직무 분석가, 8명의 직무 분석 협조자(현직 초등학교 교사), 1명의 서기 겸 업무 실무자로 이루어진 DACUM 직무 분석 위원회를 구성하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다.첫째, 초등 교사의 직무는 9개의 임무(교육과정 구성, 학습 준비, 교수 활동, 생활 지도, 안전 및 보건, 연수 활동, 행사 지도, 환경 구성, 행정 업무)로 구성되었으며, 각 임무별 과업은 총 80개로 분석되었다.둘째, 분석된 직무 중 중요하고 어려우며 수행 빈도가 빈번할 뿐만 아니라 교사 임용되기 전에 교사 교육과정을 통하여 반드시 습득되어야 할 능력으로서 확인된 과업은 교재 연구하기, 기본 학습 방법 지도하기, 교수학습 활동 전개하기, 수행 평가하기, 학생 상담하기, 생활 장면 지도하기였다.셋째, 직무 분석 결과를 바탕으로 초등 교사의 직무 능력 모형을 만들었다. 이 직무 모형은 초등 교사의 임무와 임무별 과업이 상호 연관성을 갖도록 논리적인 순서 등을 고려하여 DACUM 차트로 완성되었다.


The purpose of this study was to analyze job of elementary school teacher based on the DACUM(Developing A Curriculum) method. The contents of this study were to extract the duties, tasks consisting of job of elementary school teacher and to investigate levels of importance, difficulty, frequency and entry level on each task, and to make out a job model of elementary school teacher. A DACUM committee was composed to analyze job of elementary school teacher and the committee members were total 10, a facilitator, 8 school teachers and a recorder & coordinator. The major findings of this study were as the followings; first, duties in jog of elementary school teacher were total 9, which were organization of school curriculum, preparation of teaching, teaching, guidance of school life, safe & health, in-service education, construction of classroom environment, school administration. And total tasks in job of elementary school teacher were 80. Second, the tasks which were important, difficult, frequent and essential in entry step of occupation were studying of teaching materials, guiding of basic studying principles, teaching in class, assessing a student's performance, counselling on a student's problems, guiding on a student's action scene. Third, a job model of elementary school teacher was constructed based on the results of DACUM job analysis.
