This paper is to study a way to strengthen the roles of competitive secretaries attended with the academical development of the secretarial science as a branch of social sciences and new changes of social environment. So far, the main role of secretaries has been to accompany superiors in order to maintain their dignity or trait. Yet, now, secretaries are required to play additional roles of safety managers such as a security manager, a protocol manager, an intelligence manager and a protective driver in order to overcome the domestic and the international safety environment and to elevate the quality of service as a competitive work. To train competent secretaries equipped with basic secretarial abilities, additional subjects such as 'Introduction to the Security Science', 'Security Martial Arts', 'Security Protocol', 'Protective Driving' and 'Emergency Medical Care' are to be included in the existing curriculums of secretary departments in universities and colleges, and also it is desirable to make secretaries acquire a national certificate of qualification for guide advisors.
