The purpose of the study is to define the relationship between usage of instant messenger and communication efficiency in the tourism business industry. For this purpose, we selected 7 factors : official purpose of messenger usage, private purpose of messenger usage, multi-functional ability, spatiotemporal economic ability, info-sharing ability, easiness of usage, communication efficiency.In sum, communication efficiency is influenced directly by info-sharing ability and easiness of usage. In addition, communication efficiency is affected indirectly by other factors. It means that messenger users perceive the communication efficiency through the effect of messenger. From what has been discussed above, the usage of instant messenger could be helpful for the travel agency by the communication efficiency.
