The purpose of this study is to evaluate the Poryong Mud Festival as the Cultural tourism festival through the comparison of two-year (‘99-'00) evaluations. Since the '98 Poryong Mud Festival was designated as the Korea Cultural Tourism Festival by central government, the 1999 festival evaluation was compared to the 2000 festival evaluation to find out the degree of the successful festival management. The two-year-evaluation surveys were conducted to measure the satisfaction of festival visitors towards the seven major evaluation items. This study also statistically tested the geographical variable influence of visitor markets (i.e. local residents- domestic tourists - foreign tourists).The results of this study indicated that some of the problems such as ‘provision of festival information','price of festival products', 'parking' and 'access to the restrooms' were identified. Some of the recommendations and implications were discussed.
