AB - The purpose of this study is to analyze the facility preference according to types of casino resort visitor's motivation. Based on literature review, 5 hypotheses regarding facility preference and visitor’s motivation were formulated and tested. To test the hypotheses, questionnaire survey was conducted with visitors to Kangwonland Casino Resort. Total of 207 useful samples were collected through online & offline surveys and in order to differentiate the visitors, motivation data from sample were analyzed by factor and cluster analysis. Five motivation factors are identified and five clusters were created through the analysis. Five hypotheses were tested with ANOVA and test results showed that there were significant differences in facility preference among types of visitors according to the motivation. This study is meaningful in that it extends the scope of research regarding casino. So far research regarding casino has been interested in soft areas such areas as product development, management and its economic and social impacts. Little effort has been made to understand visitor’s behavior regarding space and facility in casino resort.
