This study examines to test a TAM model to understand air travelers’ self-service check-in kiosk use. A survey was designed to measure the three antecedent constructs, ease of use, usefulness, and optimism as well as attitude toward the SST use and intention to use SST. A total of 165 travellers completed the survey and 156 usable surveys a response rate of 78 percent were used to test the proposed model. Confirmed by prior TAM studies, this study found that both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use are critical predictors of kiosk use behaivour, whereas perceived usefulness was a more important predictor of intended kiosk usage than perceived ease of use. In addition, travelers’ optimistic attitude toward technology also has some impact of attitude toward kiosk and accordingly has an indirect impact on future use of kiosk. This study found no relationship between perceived usefulness and behavioral intention of future kiosk use. This study's results also provide one important practical implication for airline companies.
