The analysis of economic impacts is often used not only for understanding the importance of industries, but also for providing government policies on the economic development. Yet, the approach used to conduct the economic impacts is rarely discussed in golf course operations. Thus, using an input-output model this study estimated the multipliers of golf course operation and found that they were relatively higher effects than other industries. Then, this study estimated the economic impacts of golf course operation to be 5,359 billion won in production impact, 844 billion won in income impact, 1,819 billion won in value-added impact, 246 billion won in tax impact, and 50,350 jobs in employment impact. Implications as a result of the estimation were made, while current research limitations and future research directions were also outlined.
