The purpose of this study is to analyze the gap of guest compliment perception by the hotel employees on the demographic characteristics. The results of this study revealed the following. First, Hypothesis 1 was partially accepted. there were statistically different significances in the perception of verbal compliment, gesture/expression compliment and physical compliment on the gender, and males were higher than females in the all means. Second, Hypothesis 4 was partially accepted. there was statistically different significance in the perception of gesture/expression compliment on the class of position, and irregular employees were higher than regular employees in the means. Finally, Hypothesis 5 was partially accepted. there was statistically different significance in the perception of physical compliment on the academic career, and highschool graduates were higher than university graduates, and postgraduates and over in the means. Some implications according to these conclusions and limitations for this study were discussed lastly.
