The purpose of this study is to have the feasibility assessment and find out responsive strategies for whale tourist development, especially in Southeastern region of Korea. Also, this study was intended to be useful data for the policy maker of Ulsan metropolitan city and many local governments when they establish the policies relating to whale watching tour. The data were collected from 319 visitors who came from the southeastern region of Korea which involve Busan metropolitan city, Changwon consolidated city, Milyang,Yangsan and Gimhae region with various age groups and participated at Ulsan whale watching tour. The factor analysis, MONOVA and logit regression analysis were used to verify 5 hypotheses and to find out the how much factors were effected to their satisfaction, revisit and recommendation. The result indicated that the most valuable assessment was relating to transportation accessibility and age group of 50 was more sensitive to whale tourist development factors. Also, natural characteristics and facility characteristics in Ulsan whale watching tour were most meaningful in their satisfaction and recommendation.Therefore, this study is expected to contribute to the development of Ulsan whale watching tour in a practical approach in the future.
