With active movement of human resources between countries, there is an increase in the number of tourists with desire for overseas travel. Accordingly, the number of foreign students on study abroad has increased and there has been continued active exchange between countries. According to preceding research, positive tour destination image contributes to the competitiveness of a nation. Therefore,decreasing the negative image by measuring the national image which is connected to tourist destination image, we are seeking to prove the effect of formation level of positive image on behavior intention. The results from the research showed that the tour destination image does have an effect on national image and behavior intention for foreign students on study abroad. Based on the results of this research, if a tour destination and support for foreign students on study abroad at the university level can be achieved simultaneously, positive image will be inculcated to potential customers whom are the foreign students on study abroad in Korea, to have an effect on them in visiting Korea as a tour destination.
