The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among travel constraints, negotiation, attitude, and behavioral intention for domestic solo travelers. To achieve the study objective an online survey was conducted for travelers of 20∼40 ages as single household. The confirmatory factor analysis delineated three travel constraint factors(intrapersonal, psychological, and structural constraint), three negotiation factors(companion, exploration, and systematic negotiation), one attitude factor, and one behavioral intention factor, respectively. The results of structural equation modelling indicate that travel constraints had a positive effect on negotiation, whereas they had a negative effect on attitude and behavioral intention. Also, negotiation was found to have a positive effect on behavioral intention and attitude positively influenced negotiation efforts and behavioral intention. The findings of this study suggest that the greater solo travelers have constraint and the more they perceive solo travel positively, the more they are likely to strengthen negotiation efforts which increase their behavioral intention.
