This paper aims to find industrial implications in the MICE industry using the big data with the analysis of the MICE visitors and the types of MICE held in BEXCO which is major the representative venue in Korea. The data had been collected as the Big Data combining MICE participants’ Shinhan Credit Card usage, other miscellaneous informations and the data provided from BEXCO through 2011 to 2014. Firstly, we scrutinize the demographical information and the usage of public transportation(in/out side the city) of the participants. Secondly, we compared the visitors consumption patterns. Thirdly, we compared the event days, total visitors, number of events, the amount of participants’ consumption by MICE type. The results show the significant difference between visitor type(individual vs. corporate) and participants region in the consumption patterns. Also, We found several limitations in the big data analysis in MICE industry, such as costly data collection, limited access to the big data and the short of data analysis professionals. This research will propose some guidance to the MICE industry by providing the MICE participants analysis and specific industrial informations in MICE.
