본 연구는 음악감상을 통한 음악적 표현활동에서 나타나는 유아들의 음악개념 학습과정을 분석하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 J도에 위치한 S유치원 만 5세 유아 총 22명이었으며 녹화, 참여관찰, 교사와의 비형식적 면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 수집한 자료는 질적분석을 하였으며, 분석결과 유아들은 음악감상을 통한 음악적 표현활동에서 음악 개념인 리듬(박자), 멜로디(음 높이), 셈여림, 빠르기, 음색, 형식 등을 경험하였고 이러한 음악 개념들에 대해 지각하고 인식한 느낌과 생각을 신체표현활동과 악기 다루기로 구체적이고 다양하게 표현하면서 음악개념에 긍정적인 변화를 나타내었다. 따라서 음악감상을 통한 음악적 표현활동은 유아들의 음악개념에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 교육적 의미가 있음을 알 수 있다.
The purpose of this study was to examine young children's learning process of musical conceptions presented in musical appreciation-oriented musical expression activities. Study subjects were 22 young children at S Kindergarten in J Do. Data were collected by video recording, participatory observation and informal interview with teachers. Collected data were qualitatively analyzed. Study findings are as follows: Young children experienced such musical conceptions as rhythms (times), melodies (tones), dynamics, speeds, tunes and forms via musical appreciation-oriented musical expression activities. They concretely and diversely expressed their recognized feelings and ideas on the above musical conceptions through physical expressions and musical instruments, thus presenting positive changes on musical conceptions. Therefore, musical appreciation-oriented musical expression activities seem to have educational significance that having positive influence upon young children's musical conceptions.
